How to set up your Brand Identity

In the Data Hub, you can upload everything that makes your brand yours: from your company name to your manifesto. When you set up your Identity, you're giving AI Agents the context they need to create content that highlights your brand in CTAs, understands who they're representing and ultimately speaks to your target audience in a voice that sounds like you.

This guide will help you:

  • Setup your Identity Name
  • Add the right Website URL
  • Write a Manifesto that captures your brand’s beliefs, values and "why" (without overthinking it.)

1. How to Choose Your Identity Name

The Identity Name is simply the name of your company, brand or personal brand.

Best Practices:

  • Use your actual brand name, exactly how you want it to appear in your content.
  • Avoid taglines or slogans here — just keep it clean.

Example:

✅ Good: "UFOstart"

❌ Not good: "UFOstart - Your AI Marketing Workforce"

Tip:

Think of it like the name someone should use if they recommended you.

2. What to Enter for Your Website

In the Website field, simply enter the official URL of your company or organization.

This helps AI Agents:

  • Understand your brand better
  • Refer correctly to your platform or services
  • Pull inspiration for phrasing and references

Best Practices:

  • Use your main website link, not a landing page or blog post.
  • Double-check the URL for typos (they happen more often than you'd think!).

3. How to Write a Brand Manifesto That Actually Matters

In the Identity setup, the Manifesto field is where you get personal.

Let’s break it down step-by-step:

What Is a Brand Manifesto?

Your brand manifesto is a written statement that publicly declares your brand’s views, motives and intentions.

It’s the seed of your company: the foundation for everything you do.

A strong manifesto explains:

  • What you stand for
  • What you do every day
  • What you’re striving to achieve or become

Why Is a Brand Manifesto Important?

When you define what you believe in, what you stand for and where you're going, it shapes how your brand shows up in every piece of content: from the tone of a social post, to the phrasing of a CTA, to the voice behind a blog article or press release.

A strong manifesto helps:

  • Align your messaging across every channel
  • Make AI-generated content sound authentically you (not like a generic brand)
  • Build emotional connection and trust with your audience

The 3 Core Components of a Brand Manifesto

Think of your manifesto as three parts working together:

1. Mission — What you do every day

Your mission is about your daily purpose.

It answers: What are we here to deliver right now?

Tip: Keep it simple. Think action, not aspiration.

2. Vision — Where you’re going

Your vision is your big goal.

It’s the bold future you’re working toward.

Tip: Dream a little. This is about what could be, not what already is.

3. Values — What you believe in

Your values are your brand’s non-negotiables.

They’re the principles that guide every decision you make.

Tip: Be honest. Generic values like “innovation” or “teamwork” won’t stand out unless you explain what they mean for you.

Quick Activity: Start With What Matters Most

Not sure how to start?

Ask yourself:

"What’s most important to me, to my team and to the people we want to serve?"

Write down your answers.

You’ll start to see the first pieces of your mission, vision and values.

Example Manifesto Template (Copy + Customize):

We believe [your core belief about the world or your industry].
Every day, we [what you do to act on that belief].
We’re working toward [your vision or big goal].
We value [list 3–5 values that guide your actions].
